Hurley High School is a public high school located in Hurley, Virginia in Buchanan County, Virginia. It is part of the Buchanan County Public Schools system. Athletic teams compete in the Virginia High School League's A Black Diamond District in Region D. Mission Statement Hurley High School's mission is to nurture the growth of each student's sense of responsibility and to provide a safe, secure environment in which students develop skills needed in a competitive world. Vision and Purpose The school establishes and communicates a shared purpose and direction for improving the performance of students and the effectiveness of the school. ==Extracurricular activities== Hurley was awarded with the 2011 championship for Creative Writing. Due to funding all fine arts have been cut from this school.
